Where Can I Buy Deep Blue Oil? Price/Cost?
Doterra Products are generally NOT sold in retail stores. If you know a Wellness Advocate in your area buying through them is generally the best option. However, if not, the next most convenient methods of purchasing would be online through either Doterra's online shop or through an online 3rd Party Marketplace such as Amazon (where you may or may not be purchasing from an authorized Wellness Advocate.) This site is monetized through Amazon affiliate links and others and we do receive a small compensation (at not additional cost to you), should you decide to make a purchase by clicking through most of our links.

Can I Use For:
Sprains?
This blend can help ease pain and discomfort of sprains, however, you should also (and more importantly) follow these steps to help prevent further damage and help your sprain heal quicker. Deep Blue can help to relieve some of the pain symptom while the healing process takes place.
Arthritis and Joint Pain?
Many people find significant relief from chronic and occasional joint pain with Deep Blue oil. However, aside from temporary relief, this oil is not meant to help heal or improve chronic joint conditions such as arthritis or similar conditions.
Migraines and Headaches?
Doterra does have an Roll-On Oil called PastTense specifically geared toward head tension and aches which might be the better route to treat migraines. However, using Deep Blue oil can have a very similar effect when rubbed on the forehead, scalp, and neck as it still provides a cooling and tension releasing sensation that is also found with the PastTense blend. The BIG thing to watch out for is that the rub should not come in contact with your eyes or you are in for an unpleasant experience. Many people have applied the ointment to various part of the body to forget that it was still on their hands and then inadvertently wiped their eyes. This has a higher probability of happening when applying to the head.
Carpal Tunnel?
User have reported experiencing relief of carpal tunnel discomfort with the application of Deep Blue products. When applying for this purpose, users should be cautious that they are taking other appropriate steps to ensure that their condition is being properly handled.
Bone Spurs?
As with other types of joint-related pain, this blend can be used to assist with temporarily relieving discomfort and pain of bone spurs. But just like almost every item on this list, those suffering from this condition should work with health care professionals to take necessary steps towards long-term reduction or elimination of the underlying problem.
Is It Safe:
During Pregnancy/While Nursing?
Because every pregnancy is different, Doterra's official answer to this is: "If you are pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor’s care, consult your physician." If you call in and speak to a Doterra Representative they will tell you about the same with the added qualifier that to date there is no evidence that Deep Blue is harmful during pregnancy.
So why does this question exist? The big concern is that Deep Blue (like other muscle rubs) contains Wintergreen, and Wintergreen contains Methyl Salicylate. Methyl salicylate is generally not recommended for internal use, and the issue is that it is NOT currently known whether Methyl salicylate is to be found in breast milk after topical application.
For this reason, there aren't any valid current concerns for using Deep Blue products during pregnancy, but just to be extra safe, you may want to avoid using it while nursing.
For Kids Use?
Deep Blue products including the oil, are generally safe for use on children. REMEMBER that Deep Blue Oil is VERY POTENT. As with all potent oils, it's best to find test a small amount first to check for individual adverse reactions for any user, but especially children who are more likely to have sensitive skin. Often it's best to dilute the oil with a carrier oil, like Fractionated Coconut oil, before applying especially with children.
Ingredients

In-Depth Review
Doterra’s Deep Blue essential oil is designed to help people suffering from any kind of muscle or joint pain. This oil can be diluted with a carrier oil and massaged directly onto the affected area as often as needed to obtain relief from the pain. The most distinctive and appealing aspect of this oil is its ability to treat both mild and severe pain. For instance, Deep Blue can be applied to tired muscles after a long workout, or to children’s legs while they experience growing pains. It can also be used to help heal headaches, bruises, back aches, and many other kinds of muscle pain.
Besides these uses for treating mild, acute muscle and joint pain, however, Deep Blue offers a powerful and effective treatment for chronic and intense pain. For instance, the oil is effective in relieving consumers of the deep aches of fibromyalgia, of the intense pain of sprains and whiplash, and the severity of bone spurs and bone pain. The oil can even be used to treat conditions as severe as scoliosis, sciatica, and herniated discs. As a result, consumers may use this oil to loosen up stiff muscles after working at the computer all day, or use it to alleviate the pain of sever scoliosis. Deep Blue has proven to be equally effective in either situation. Deep Blue may even be used to alleviate certain conditions such as fevers that do not necessarily have to do with the muscles and joints.
Deep Blue works immediately and effectively. The oil can reduce or eliminate pain upon contact, and the effects can last through the next day. In addition to alleviating pain, it can also improve circulation. The only thing that consumers should be aware of when using Deep Blue is the possibility of skin irritation when using the undiluted product. In order to avoid irritation, consumers should dilute the oil with a carrier oil, such as coconut oil, before applying it to the skin. When properly applied, Deep Blue offers consumers the ideal essential oil for overcoming any number of muscle and join discomforts.
